FEBRUARY 15, 2025

9:30am - 12:30pm

Cathey's Creek Community Center

131 Island Ford Rd

Come awaken your soul with our unique blend of dance, drumming and art during our "Emerge" workshop. Dive into the world of self expression and exploration through movement, rhythm and visual arts. Our professional facilitators will guide you on a journey of personal growth and artistic discovery. Gather in community and experience the transformative power of creative expression. Let this gathering be your sanctuary for soul tending, artistic inspiration and growth as we transition into the New Year.

"emerge" (verb):

to come into view, unfold, become known, manifest, arise

The first half of the workshop will be centered around mindful and intentional movement practices, accompanied by djembe, designed to cultivate reconnection with your body and spirit. We will then transition into an art practice involving the use of elements foraged in nature, fabric, yarn and other adornments to create a piece reflective of your personal story of "emerging'.  We will explore what aspects of yourself are longing to manifest and arise.

No prior art experience is necessary. This experience is all about the process, not the product. It will be a pressure free environment of exploration and expression.

Emerge is hosted by Megan Busch, Expressive Arts Facilitator, of Waking Bird Studio and Ashley Alexander, Somatic Facilitator, of New Radical Emergence.

Each of our facilitators have multiple years of experience leading and guiding individuals into healing and soul connection. See the About page for instructor bios.

We look forward to facilitating a soulful, nurturing gathering for you to connect and flourish in the new year.
