WHAT IS "RESTORATIVE" PAINTING?

It is art as a spiritual practice.

 

It’s like praying with a paintbrush.

 

It provides an avenue for deep connection with the Heart of God. As you practice turning off your mind and listening intently, His voice can be heard in the stillness.

 

RESTORE: (verb)"to renew, rebuild, refresh"

"to bring back to a state of health, soundness or vigor"

"to give back, make return or restitution of (anything taken away or lost)"

Engaging in Restorative Painting Practices provides visual language and a deep knowing that verbal language sometimes fails to offer.

The Nuts and Bolts:

 

During Restorative Painting sessions, you will be guided with questions that purposefully allow God to speak to those areas in your life that He wants to heal and you will be invited to respond to His voice by painting what you are sensing.

​

There is no pressure to make something "beautiful" to hang above your couch.

 

What you create is solely for the purpose of connecting with God and allowing the Holy Spirit to bring healing to those areas that keep you stuck - to lead you into deeper levels of freedom and wholeness.

 

And who doesn't want more of that?

You will be using simple tools like art paper, tempera paints and/or watercolors.  

​

You will paint in the safety and comfort of a group of women who are all committed to:

more freedom

more joy

more authenticity

more personal growth

and a deeper connection to the Spirit.
